This is the turn tracking thread for the PBEM game "The Cult of Worms and Fungus".
Premise for the game:
"Awaken.... Prophet....". The words whispered in The Prophet's ears seem to fade as quickly as they were heard, and yet he remembered!
Rememberance! A new concept! And one to be explored further!
But the first imprinting must be followed: The Will of Planet! However, The Will is fractured: for since the Last Blooming and the loss of Planetary Sentience several individual elements of Planet have since arisen, each one bent on the dominance of Planet!
But a new element has been introduced to Planet: survivors of an interstellar expedition! They call themselves humans, and say they are friends of Planet. However, so easily are they swayed by Planet's offerings that even now they are befoulling the Face of Planet! We have isolated for you a small offshoot of these humans for you to lead, to mold, to dominate with! Go forth and dominate Planet in Our Name!
"The imprinting is complete", a voice whispers in your ear, and is gone.....
They found him in a valley near their escape pod's landing site: a young child, barely of sentient age, and yet striding towards them with a superior confidence, a mindworm at his side.
"Follow me, for I am The Way!", the child announces, his eyes dominating all who focused upon him. The perplexed, disoriented humans easily fell under the Prophet's sway. "Follow Me", he whispers to them......
You are the Leader of a splinter faction of Planet. However, there are other splinter factions also seeking dominance once Planet reaches sentience again! Who will be The One to dominate and imprint their awareness upon Planet!? It is now up to you.....
This is a SMAX game where all human players are Cha Dawn clones. Turn sequence is as follows:
Hobbes (Australia)
bin Travkin (Latvia)
Sebed (Poland)
Barinthus (Germany)
Platypus Rex (USA)
The AI's are two Gaian clones.
The game has been modified in the following areas:
1. all native lifeforms (NL's) are now cheaper to build.
2. NL's are available as follows:
- MW's w/ Cent Ecology
- IoD's w/ Doc: Flex
- Spore Launcher w/ Polymorphic Encryption
- Sealurks w/ Doc: Init
- LoC's w/ Doc: Air Power
3. The AI's will build non-standard units.
4. the AI's will build Probe Cruisers once they discover Doc:Init.
