Anyone up for a new PBEM?

I'm looking for players for a new SMAX game (plain SMAC can be as well if most of people would prefer it).

4 players, standard map with average settings (we could also ask someone for doing such one for us). I don't know what are the standard PBEM rules, but I'd prefer direct research, tech stealing, no pods and random events, map not revealed.

Usually I can play fast, but sometimes I'm off the net even for a week, so it could be quite erratic. But most of the time it should be fine.

Oh, I like to do some heavy diplomacy, so nice thing if co-players were talkative and preferred intriguing than clicking.

So, anyone up for it?

I'm interested in a large-huge map. I'd love to see the University as an AI (too potent) but since Dilithium wants them, I'll take the Gaians (or if the University is not in play, I'll take the PK).

As DilithiumDad listed all the best factions in the game, I'll take whatever is left, maybe even from SMAX (tho I prefer the original 7).

I can CMN if its a large map (small maps really aren't my specialty).
Once settings are agreed upon, if someone could give a one post synopsis of the settings, then I can get started building the game.
I'd also need password preferences for each player as well as what people want to name the turn tracking thread.

I think we are going SMAX. If anyone is interested, maybe we good do SMAX factions only as the human factions, for something different. I've done Pirates (I wrote an analysis up about a year ago on them), and in that context would be willing to play them. We'd have to add in one other SMAC faction, Cho Dawn is way too weak IMHO. Maybe Morgan? Just throwing this up as an idea for something different. I'll bet Darsnan could make that combo REALLY interesting.

Anyways, would anyone be interested in having the AI's build Probe Crusiers, and/ or non-standard units? Also, how difficult do you want me to make the AI's? Do I have my choice of Factions, or are you going to give me specific Factions to work with?
