I realised I didn't keep a copy of the SMAC exe. Only the SMAX exe, so I was unable to check whether the password change worked *sigh*.
The game file I modified was "LongRoad - t_ras 2245", I changed the password of player 2, I assumed that was t_ras since the turn was on player 2.
I've sent the gamefile to t_ras with the new password it should work *crosses fingers*. The new password was sent to him via PM.Comment
