      • Scout destroys cult former by EvIlCoW()
        Probe downloads Doc:Flex from the cult. Becomes elite
        Rover... odds of success on attacking scout in Dawn of Planet 32:35. Worth a go... Success! Although Rover now 70% damaged. Cult will be eliminated next turn I think.

        I can't afford to rush a CP at DataDeCentral() or OptiCommons() so I don't. Scouts stay in the bases. AA set to hold. Formers still forming.

              -turn begin-
              Scout to 51,25
              Colony pod found U4 on Pwnjoonoo bay
              Another pod is at 51,35, heading to 51,33.

              -press WAIT a bunch of times-
              Formers have finished farm, start building a road.
              Formers roading from Overflow ridge to U3 continue to do so
              Set all production to Rover Supply, in case of mineral pod.

              Pod at 69,37 contains: A mineral Pod.
              Pod at 68,48 contains: Another mineral Pod.
              I've received 4 mineral pods across my PBEMs today, I guess
              it's the random seed when you start SMAC.
              Time to take a quick survey of what I've got:

              3 porkbarrels at 90 minerals each
              3 AAs at 45 minerals each
              for a total of 405 minerals.
              The Weather Paradigm costs 180, and the Virtual world costs
              270.
              The remaining 45 minerals will be a bit of a stretch.

              A-sp-binge I'll go, a-sp-binge I'll go,
              Hi-ho the dairy-oh, a-sp-binge I'll go!

              Formers rushed in U1, U1 will be the site of the Weather
              Paradigm.
              First rover supply workin' 60,30.
              AAs move to U3. U3 will be the site of the Virtual World.
              Setting Stockpile in Queue, setting Doctors where needed.

              U4 is producing the Laser Skimship prototype - will switch to
              the Impact Skimship prototype when I get NLM in 4 turns.
              I expect Chaunk will not be able to take ChaDawn's last base
              this turn.
              ChaDawn is guarding it with his mind worm boil.

                    • actually, I'm not - and when I load Chaunk's save, I immediately hit enter to bring up mine - I never did see the value of starting my turn with his endturn.sav file opened (or you starting your turn with my endsave opened, for that matter) but I play along

                      So I'm really just treating this as another PBEM - albeit a not very representative one - but one where we explain our rationale for decisions as and when we make them

                        • Okay, here it goes.
                          I start the VW and the WP.
                          I burn 2 formers, 1 Spatrol and 24 ECs on the VW.
                          It's a big hit, but I'd sooner have this project now.

                          My scouts are moving to pods, and my colony pod is at a future base site.
                          With VW next turn, I no longer need any drone control until a base hits size 4.

                          Oh, and I pacted ChaDawn to sell him tech now that Chaunk's Probe is gone.
