Better Luck This Time!!!!

Dear 'BetterLuck' players, I need to inform you that I have lost interest in this game--completely. The sole reason is the returning delays preventing a continuous and "stable" flow of the game.

While delays announced in advance is no problem to me (be it even a month or longer)--it becomes frustrating not knowing if the turn arrives in 1-2 days or 1-2 weeks.

I understand that delays may occur without warning and that this is a part of the 'PBEM-package'; so to speak. However, this particular game has had so much bad luck that I no longer find any enjoyment playing my turns. I shall continue to play my turns, though, but I would rather find a replacement to fill my spot.

If the three of you agree to continue I shall post for a replacement for the Cybernetic Consciousness. I shall do my best to inform any replacement player of the current situation in the game (plans, strategies, diplomacy, etc.).

Well, if you're not enjoying it, there's no sense burdening yourself. I'd like to continue, because I like this game. There should be somebody out there who'd enjoy picking up a CyCon game.

I'm in. Never played them in PBEM. Am good at filling in for missing players, including one of our other PBEMs Rubin. I just hate to see them die because people need to walk away. Better to play it out with a sub. I'm that sub. Whatever turnplay strategy you can afford to send is great.

Edit: Removed my complaint about Hobbes vacation. I just want to keep turns going.

Turn to Yoda - I will be gone to my sister's husband funeral over the weekend (dead in Iraq, is sticky at OT thread). Will be back by Tuesday. This is not going down as my best year, besides all the other things that have happened, my job is being contracted out by the Bush administration. sigh.

shawnmmcc, my condolances to you and your sister. I read the thread in OT. I hope the game provides some needed distraction and fun.

Actually, I emailed Rubin earlier today and offered to let you take my position. He deserves that courtesy, and frankly I would feel that way about me if I had the less than auspicious year I've had so far. Rubin helped start the game, and I am willing to step aside for him. The only thing I would ask you to do is to at least initially through the next tech stick with my alliance with jtsisyoda, that would only be fair to him - plus I think it is a good deal for both sides.

If Blut0 wants to hold the turn until we sort out who's playing what faction, i have no objection.

Yes, holding off until we get the players sorted out and introduced seems prudent. I think before we select the gov. we should probably see what pacts, etc. will survive with new faction leaders.

The most recent turn was to Blut0. He was holding it until the player situation was straightened out. Now that you're in as CyCon and Shawn is still in as the Pirates, we're ready. I believe Blut0 sends you the turn, smacksim, so make sure he has your email. Actually, I'd like it, too, if you don't mind, and Shawn might find it useful as well.
