Nope, it is gordonsmith at net.hr. I want to change my current gmail adress to gordon.smith, which includes deleting the old account and setting up new account.

I'm pretty aware of SMAC's Game Mechanics. I don't have any programming or graphic skills though...

You can also sign me up for "CMN Responsibilities": documenting how to generate PBEM's/ Scenarios, maps, CMN abilities ingame, creating new units, etc.

I'd like to sign up for this thing too. I can do 2D and simple 3D graphics work. I'll have to see what the Civ IV engine can read, but I should be able to help.

Welcome, wgabrie, your work on SMAC graphics was impressive!

Currently we're developing (in graphics section):
              1.A civgroup icon for "C4AC".
              2.A logo for entire mod.

You're free to draw some draft as a suggestion..

Damn, I go away for a few days and the boards just explode with activity!

Well, I am up for lending a hand. My programming days are a bit past, but I will try to help out in that regard. Especially since I have no graphical ability at all.... =(

The only IM i'm currently using is Skype, I don't know anyone who uses Google Talk (because we were all talking over Skype and nobody saw a reason to move to google talk).

As a sidenote though, you should remember most non-native english users here can write and read english pretty good, but listening/talking is a lot more difficult.

Other benefits of written communication : you can check back to see what was exactly decided, if you can't attend a meeting you can read what was said, if you need a break during a meeting, it's not really a problem etc...

I would use IRC if we need real-time talking and decision making with a whole group. If it's just exchanging ideas between 2 people, I'd favour Skype instead of google talk.

Who was talking about using programs for spoken communication? Do you even know what is Google Talk exactly?

irc sessions seem like the best choice for
                      1) geting the whole team together and making osme decisions faster than having dicussions that take days
                      2) geting the public attention and feedback

yes, a jabber-based IM that can't connect to other jabber clients.
