A mind worm has appeared 2 tiles to the southwest of HQ.
Morgan has signed a friendship treaty with Deirdre.

I decided to attack the mind worm with the Seaview recon rover. Victory but it was damaged to 60%.

We established Ushuaia (Cape Horn). Rushed the former and homed the recon rover.

The gun foil trying to pop the pod was swept by a tidal wave right in the middle of Geothermal Shallows, 4 clicks to the southeast of Song of Planet (Gaians), right next to a pod with 4 bonus moves. She popped the pod and discovered sensor data along with Atlantic Ruins and a mother lode of pods. I popped another one and we just finished the trance rover supply at Seaview, thanks to mineral supplies!

Forest expands near HQ.
The Hive has nearly completed the Command Nexus.

The Believer sea foil escaped to the north.

The Drydock gun foil popped a pod and recovered supply. We have another 'instant secret project' supply crawler.

A Spartan commando gatling skimship (5)-2-4 has been sighted right in the middle of Atlantic Ruins (central monolith). The gun foil has tried to escape and recovered sonar data and kelp while pod popping.

Before the end turn diplomacy
Contacted Morgan (noncommital) asks for assistance against the Believers. The CEO asks for a tech exchange Nonlinear Maths for Centauri Empathi. I agree. He then offers Ecological Engineering for Polymorphic Software. I couldn't agree more. We now have lifted mineral restrictions. He says he doesn't like planned economics, as expected and he asks for assistance against Miriam. I try another tech exchange but it seems we have no tech datas of interest to him.

I then contact Deirdre (ambivalent). She lectures me on the pollution generated by planned and requires assistance against the Hive. I offer to exchange tech. She offers Doctrine: Loyalty for Polymorphic Software. I agree. She doesn't wish to pursue tech exchange for she doesn't want the Citizens' Defense Force to fall into my hands. She then ends the chat.

Bottomline: three new techs. Centauri Empathi, Ecological Engineering and Doctrine: Loyalty.

End Turn:
The Hive builds the Command Nexus. We need to chose a new tech. Choices are: Doc: Initiative, Synthetic Fossil Fuels, Centauri Meditation, Advanced Subatomic Theory or Environmental Economics.

I have enclosed the last save game (following the diplomatic campaign) but before the end turn.

We chose Synthetic Fossil Fuels. Air Power is essential.

Pod popping North: kelp then tidal wave up north two clicks from a pod. We continue as we have replenished the movement allowance. Isle of Deep. Attack. Victory. We are now hardened and 30 credits richer.

Easternmost South gun foil pops pod north and recovers sonar data. Two more pods ahead remain to be popped.

A tiny misunderstanding occured regarding the orders of one of the foils exploring the Believers northern sea. Sorry about that.

Ajustments and hurries have been made. A mind worm attacks Judgement Seat (Believer) and got destroyed by its defender (scout rover veteran).

This might call for a vote. But as the result seems clear enough, we'll have to cope with nerve gas and other niceties.

We popped an Isle of Deep, then 100 Credits, and to top it all the Easternmost South gun foil popped supplies to finish the trance rover supply in Seaview.

We voted "Yea" and we lost the vote.

We encountered a seacolony pod from the Hive. The good chairman was willing to speak to us but made outrageous demands (pact breaking with the Gaians, tech extorsion) and ended his chat by declaring vendetta unto us.

We are now at war against the Hive.

A spartan armored foil attacked the IoD in the mineral deposit tile to the southeast of Atlantic Ruins and was victorious (but badly damaged — red).
The Hive Seacolony Pod has tried to escape due south west of our gun foil.

2141 Operations
Gibraltar established.

We sighted a Spartan seacolony pod to the east of the mineral deposit near Fleet Anchorage. The plasma coastal was ordered to attack. Victory and damaged 10%.

The South gun foil pursued the Hive seacolony pod and attacked. Victory. Damaged 40%.

We captured a hatchling IoD. Hurrah! Inside are two hatchling mind worms. The IoD is damaged to 20%.

The gun foil popped sonar data.

A Gaian transport with two rovers (1-1-2) has been sighted three clicks to the northeast of the Spartan base of Fleet Anchorage.

We are now democratic and green.

Deirdre (magnanimous) compliments us on our society choices, then asks us to research Intellectual Integrity to be traded for Cyberethics.
I ask her to coordinate an assault on The Hive base. She accepts.
No tech exchange for now as she is currently undergoing the Citizen's Defense Force. I end the discussion.

The IoD recovered sonar data. Then disembarked the mind worm. Popped another IoD. The gun foil attempted capture but failed. Attack and damaged to 30%. But 20 credits richer.

As Morgan is now at war against the Believers, we shoud discuss what will be our stand towards this conflict before we contact him.

Morgan is contacted. He asks for assistance against Miriam. We decline. The CEO lectures us on our green economics. He then implores us to send assistance against the Believers. Something that would be useful. He then tells us he's researching Intellectual Integrity and suggests we research Advanced Subatomic Theory.
When I try to get a tech exchange for credits, he pities the sad state of our energy reserves and says he wouldn't part with Superconductor (C4) for less than 100 EC. Good to remember. We end the discussion.

The University redirects its former efforts from the Planetary Datalinks towards the Hunter-Seeker Algorithm.

We have Synthetic Fossil Fuels. We don't have the choice of Air Power, therefore we choose Doctrine: Initiative.

Morgan, after the same exchange we just had last year, accepts the tech exchange Environmental Economics for Synthetic Fossil Fuels.

We have been able to make the switch to research Air Power but we wasted 16 research points.

All the orders have been carried out.
The mind worm attacked the Hive former and got promoted to larval mass (30% damaged).

Santiago's on channel 2. Wants Industrial Automation for Superconductor. I agree as the sensible techs aren't involved. She has Gatling Speeders (5-1-2), beware! She offers blood truce. I decline, as stated.

HQ builds formers, switched to fungicidal formers. Energy is running low.

2145 Operations
The Sunken City plasma hoverboat encountered a Spartan seacolony pod 4 clicks to the northeast of Blast Rifle Crag. Attacked and destroyed the foe (damaged 20%).

Monitoring Station (Univ) shelters a Hive impact skimship (4)-3-4. The gun foil followed the SW then S route.

Eastern South gun foil is in position to pop a pod next turn.

Miriam (seething) asks to talk to us. She wants us to break our pact with the Morganites, a thing we do not wish to do. She then demands Nonlinear Maths. No offense but no thanks, sister. Oh, vendetta it is then, scary!

As he is no match for the Spartan gatling foil, Sunken City plasma hoverboat retreats to join with the impact foil.

South Drydock gun foil has spotted a Believer sea colony pod and a transport foil in the same tile. The gun foil attacks and destroys both.

The IoD has popped materials pod to finish the Recycling Tanks at Gateway. Sorry I forgot about the Trance Rover Supply.

The Bay Area gun foil popped sonar datas and is in position to pop another pod next year.

The IoD popped a pod and got an ETU-125 former inside its cargo bay. The gun foil popped 25 credits.

Our naval power seems to be on the way down. We just lost three foils during the last two years.
