Yeah, each base has a bunch of crawlers sitting in fungus and some occasional condenser. Once it was a mad race for SP techs, I even stole Planetary Econ. and built an Ascetic virtues and still no Gene Splicing .
That nutrient bonus for Gaians is very powerful, if I have them as AI faction they often become a powerhouse very quickly.

For me, Domai is the best. I Mean, that guy got 2 INDUSTRY! OMG!
He can simply outnumber you... Just for ye to see: I have saw Domai fighting the Caretakers two times... In the first, he was heavily atacked and when he was with the back on the wall, he suddently atacked an then kicked alien ass, even with old weapory. In the second time, it took more time, but he eventualy got all his bases back.
