    • I'll look into that. Thanks for reporting!

Edit: Can you give me a URL to such an empty threads? The ones I open are all filled. (perhaps b/c I'm an admin!?)

      • Thanks for the variable width forum layout. With widescreen monitors more common, you might want to make it the default option.
        Seriously. Kung freaking fu.

Hope you can fix that soon. I had many pictures and files attached on the old threads.

EDIT : I'm using ImageShack to attach new pictures.

              • The one you got a message from the civ4 tweeter acount saying it doesn't work. The one for Astro's post.

                [edit:]

The bitly one does, but http://apolyton.net/content.php/50-H...s-Multiplaying gives me:

                • Hmmm, ok. That's because I changed the URL to write a new article based on a new response in that thread. I'll have to fix that, thanks.

Yes, the 5MB quota dissapeared and I can send attachments again.
Some "existing" attachments are still downloaded with a 0b size, they probably stay on the old server.

Ok, but what about the old uploads? Should I reset all manually ?

For exemple, look at the three first posts of this thread. What should I do with the attached images and files ?

                        • From what I've read here, no file attachments from before the server change now work. Is that correct? There also seems to be a problem with new uploads. For example, see this post. I uploaded a zip file from my hard drive. The file on the hard drive unzips fine, but when I download the attachment, I get a zero-byte file (same as downloading files from before the change). Finally, when I use the Manage Attachments button to upload a file, I see the following message:

Uploads not utilized within one hour will be deleted

                          Is that true?

What's wrong with that? In the old versions of the forums you just could upload attachments with your post. So the attachment was always used, or utilized if you want to say it in less comprehensible English.

Now you can upload them and use them in many posts, but if you don't use them then they should go, this site is not your personal hard drive, but a place to share things including files.

OK, now I understand. I thought the message meant that any attachment that wasn't downloaded within an hour would be deleted. What it actually means is that if I upload a file and then don't do something with it (such as attach it to a post) within an hour, then the upload will be deleted.

That's what I understood the first time, but I guess that your misunderstanding was for a reason. Probably, it should be worded like this:

Uploads you do not use within one hour will be deleted
