I'd like to know why, for all your agressiveness, you're a real expert on technical stuff. I mean it Asher, you helping would be a great asset for the site.

I have no idea what I can tell you, or if what I know is still accurate.

I've seen what happens when you lot get your teeth into a vague list of features in a new Civ game. What would you be like with stuff about Apolyton?!

Truth is, the new administration has been a disaster for this site. Don't even try to talk that away with speculation on a new version of our favourite game. It's just too stupid. Cybershy & co came rushing into the spotlight with whistles and fanfares nearly a year ago. Lots of promises. And after that, nothing. Not even an effort to react to the new iteration of the game this site is supposed to cover. It's a disgrace.

It seems to me that there are definite ways to improve the site, so it is wrong to compare to "a vague list of features."

Not that I know what these ways are, but Asher already posted some ideas.

Actually, I did think of the one about putting Civilization V on the front page, which still hasn't been done.

Why get all excited about CIV V?

This is an off topic site now

This news came at the most terrible time possible.
When I got the news I immediately did all possible things (news stories, forum creation), but I also had to leave for a week snow-vacation.

Poly is indeed not ready for civ5 yet.
We are working on it very fast though.
Volunteers are indeed needed, at first now for news coverage.

And no, we have not given up.
We're not paying much money per month to keep the site alive without visions and ideas.

This thursday we have a meeting scheduled (real life) and after that I'll make an official announcement.
