I actually agree with this. Asher can be a great asset to this site and is willing to help out. Even if he can be a bit.... difficult at times .

I'm sure he wants to outdo another site and the only way to do that is jump in and help, should be safe.

in all seriousness, with all the crap that gets thrown asher's way

For the record, Jeroen and me started this with a "Fresh start for Apolyton" idea.
As far as I remember we never throwned any crap to Asher or anybody. Only KrazyHorse has been banned for 24 hours, which was the mildest ban anybody ever got for doing what he did.

We're focussing on improving Apolyton and we do value everybody's input a lot.
Some ideas and prodjects obviously have to remain a secret till they're done.

We will obviously make mistakes and wrong decisions. We're open for any form of critic/suggestion/idea to our actions.
Bottom line is: We want Apolyton to be that cool civilization site again!

If everybody is willing to accept this fresh start and willing to cooperate here, I'm sure we'll succeed! And to be honest, apart from the short otf revolt (Which was to be expected ) We can only thank everybody for being cooperative and being willing to work together towards that common goal!

That wasn't directed at you, at what you've done, just a statement of how the past has been.
You just wasted six ... no, seven ... seconds of your life reading this sentence.

                This is a Civilization site.

The elephant in the room is that it's been a few years since Civ4 was released, and there's been no official word on a Civ5.

However, we all know Civ5 will be released. It is inevitable. Civilization is one of the most beloved, critically-acclaimed franchises in the history of gaming. Perhaps the most, bar none. Civ5 is coming, sooner or later.

So why wait? Why not open up a Civ5 forum, so we can talk about things to change, new additions, etc. We could do a kind of "List" like we did previously for Civ4.

If we need to generate more content, might as well get out ahead of the pack and start pounding the drum for Civ5.

I like your italics-speak, self. It makes me think that you're some spirit entity or astral projecting or something.

                    ...

Wait. This isn't the "Say something nice about each other" thread, is it?

Honestly, your devotion to Apoly and gathering ideas for improvements has me very optimistic for the site. I only wish I had some technical expertise to offer.

no. on another site i go to, the administrator shut off the italics for the whole board because of me. and people still accuse me of being a pretentious douche.

Apoly is not an approved nickname for the site. I may have to ban you for that.

                                I agree.

It is great to see all the new energy and ideas put forward. I definitely have a good feeling about the site.
