on Civ5 plans. I like the ideas to move forward
“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

Not really an idea, more a question: Do you guys have any idea on how long it will be until there are new forum skins that we can use? Just an estimate would be useful for us, as we've now been waiting for more than 4 months (obviously not your fault!)

Two members have already offered to create new skins.
We are now figuring out how we can let them do that. (right now the only way I know about is giving them admin rights)

There's a lot of stuff right now that we just have to figure out.
Thus to answer your question: we're working on that.

Well I have several things to sya about this, and they're all positive.

            First of all @ administration.

Second: I'm working on a list of suggestions for where the site should be headed to be ahead of competition, and to be an interesting Civ site. I'll try to have it done by the middle of next week.

Third: This openness is incredible and does wonders to improve the willingness of people to give to the site.

If you have future plans, please share them, work on them openly. Don't post cryptic "we're working on a surprise" or "we're considering stuff for you all" messages, like the previous administration did.

This only alienates forum participants, makes them more critical of the end product, and if your end product takes ages to deliver and leaves much to be expected ("new forums") then you get bad feedback.

Being very very open about your pet projects and feature plans gets you:
            - good advice
            - insight into possible criticism
            - a lot of helping hands.

Basically what I'm saying - you should "open source" work on the new Apolyton site.

I have some website, php, sql skills that I haven't used in years. I have graphics skills that, though don't rival Sn00py's, (what's his nickname now?), I could put to use. I have what I think are good design and creativity skills.

Problem: I don't have lots of free time and can't "commit" to a project.

If the projects are open - I could see the progress and the open tasks, and if I have some free time, maybe write a short snippet of code, or make a logo, or a background, or maybe pots a design suggestion.

If the project is closed - then whomever is in charge of graphics works alone and is under much pressure.

A further vote of open ness would be clarifying WHO THE HECK liked the puke green and refused to change it?

Get rid of animated avatars and have a blue background, since that is very easy on the eyes.

Hi Robert. I like the tone you and Jeroen are setting for the site. I'm looking forward to the changes that are coming. Btw, did you receive the PM I sent you?

                        Yes, I've received your PM.
I will answer all PM's, there are many waiting for an answer, as we speak.
I have read them all, but I need some time to answer all of them, I'm sorry for that.
