The Altera Centauri collection has been brought up to date by Darsnan. It comprises every decent scenario he's been able to find anywhere on the web, going back over 20 years.
25 themes/skins/styles are now available to members. Check the select drop-down at the bottom-left of each page.
Call To Power 2 Cradle 3+ mod in progress: https://apolyton.net/forum/other-games/call-to-power-2/ctp2-creation/9437883-making-cradle-3-fully-compatible-with-the-apolyton-edition
It seems that "Online Posters" and "Birthdays" have been removed from the sidebar
I do think that PMs and "Who's Online" should be moved to the top of the Forum list and have the forum list be wider. And remove latest poll, I think.
“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
- John 13:34-35 (NRSV)
Notes:
- To send someone a private message, click on their username (e.g. in a forum post); a drop-down menu should then appear, including a link to send them a private message.
- While there are some fixed widths (e.g. text box for posting a message), others are percentage-based (e.g. main table that displays forum content). Some tinkering will likely occur on these fronts, in part in response to feedback generated here and our own (Apolyton staff/administration).
Changes (from sometime today anyway):
- The right-hand bar on the forum homepage and forum display (e.g. "Site Feedback & News") pages is displaying at the bottom of thread display pages, as opposed to at right -- aim will be to remove this bar from thread display pages completely.
- Forum date format changed to [Month Day, Year] format, e.g.: January 1, 2009
- "Coming Events" block in right sidebar disabled. If the Calendar feature starts to be used appropriately on at least a semi-regular basis, we may revisit this.
- "Latest Poll" block in right sidebar now has population potential (select on-topic, public forums only).
- Global announcements are now to be used only for messages that have direct site-wide implications (e.g. Downtime Reports); other announcements will be relegated to a specific forum(s) (which may or may not include sub-forums).
- Thread tagging disabled.
- Need a way to minimize or hide the announcements. I don't care about PolyCast or PolyCon and I never will, and seeing these two lines all the time with the imposing BOLD ALL CAPS is driving me nuts. It's ridiculous that when I view the OTF, the top half of my screen is taken up by useless **** I never need.
I already got it down to 2 announcements, it was like 8 announcements long before.
That was horrible.
ACK!
Don't try to confuse the issue with half-truths and gorilla dust!
Hmm, I hit "Post" and went to dinner -- came back and wheels were spinning but no post.
Anyway, when I did a 6pm Chicago Time post: On my left-hand profile info, it shows the correct local time (18:01).
On the green bar above, the time of my post is shown as 23:01 -- 5 hours east of here.
GMT is 6 hours from Chicago. So yeah, somewhere in the Eastern Atlantic.
Apolyton's Grim Reaper2008, 2010 & 2011 RIP lest we forget... SG (2) and LaFayette -- Civ2 Succession Games Brothers-in-Arms
Definitely times are wrong. As I post this my local time is correct at 11.58am, GMT +10.5
But previous post was apparently posted at 16.15, ie 4 1/2 hours into the future, so something seriously wrong with times
Posting times are apparently 5 hours in the future from result of this post as I view it.

Reason: Add more info
I've added a wide style, which has user info above the posts instead of left of them.
That's even worse. You're making the page actually LONGER and calling it "wide".
What was wrong with how the poster info was displayed before? Please bring it back, it was far more efficient.

Can we have the sidebar back, at least in some of the themes (I chose the Heavy-SMAC theme as my default because I like extended amounts of info)?
That and/or expand the table width of the main layout from 80% to somewhere around 96% - 98%. I've experimented with these values via Opera Dragonfly, and 96% gives a usable border, but removes excessive extra space.
Also, I've not had any problems regarding logins or timezones.

Back in the good ole times we could go to the last (unread) posting - now that is only possibble if not having read last post.
This site looks much like a Celtic fan football site I found when AAB was beating their ass
With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.
