This is being discussed internally. The game will certainly be covered by ACS, but since we have had only a few hours' knowledge of this the format and type of coverage has not been finalized yet.
Perhaps it would be best, for the time being, to put colonization as a category in Civ4 like we have seperate categories for Creation, General, ect.
My line of tought for this is, that it is a stand alone expansion of Civ4. Meanin it really has a strong link to Civ4. They didn't call it Colonization 2 (which would use the Civ 4 engine) they defined it as an expansion.
Modern man calls walking more quickly in the same direction down the same road “change.”
The world, in the last three hundred years, has not changed except in that sense.

The name does indicate the link to Civ 4 - using the engine etc, and graphically it looks very similar from the screenies we have seen.
However it seems to be a stand alone game - does not need the Civ 4 disc to play it.
I don't know why he saved my life. Maybe in those last moments he loved life more than he ever had before. Not just his life - anybody's life, my life. All he'd wanted were the same answers the rest of us want. Where did I come from? Where am I going? How long have I got? All I could do was sit there and watch him die.

It's a stand alone expansion. That is not the same as a completley unrelated game.
It's like The Sims 2 and The Sims 2: Castaway.
It isn't Col2, and it isn't just a colonisation game that happens to use the graphics engine of civ4, since if it was no need to put it in the title. Other games that use the graphics engine of another game, do not (for the most part) feature the donor game's title in theri own title. The link between cIV and C4C is much closer and the forum should recognise that.

I was not arguing against your suggestion of where the forum (if one is to be created) should go.
I was arguing the semantics of calling it an expansion of Civ 4 - when Firaxis describe it as a "stand alone title"
Sid Meier's Classic Colonization is recreated as a new stand-alone title in the Civilization IV® universe

it should be seperate , its a different game so we should do like with the revolution forum , ...
Have a nice colonial day
But It has Civ4 in the title.

the original colonisation was totally diff also , why would it be different now ? its probably based on the graphics and system of civ IV and so , .... basically a remake of the original game a la civ IV

Have a great colonisation
That is why it should be under the cIV part of the forum. Its basically a profesionally made supermod of cIV.

List of staff "recently posted"? The only recent update was my adding Cartimandua. As it is the two News Editors that are listed haven't been active as of late in doing so. Even then, it's not just about numbers of News Editors but also how much time they are able to commit to fulfilling that position.
I will update the 'general' Staff section as well as that for Hosted Staff and Moderators in the coming weeks (and hopefully less).
The Civ4 in the title is just to help sell it to people who don't know what Colonization is. Those poor people, it's like they can't see and they need braille right on the box to help them out.
