Can somebody get rid of the whorish amount of links on the top of the forums? Every time I visit this site, they simply enrage me to a ridiculous degree. I do not want to click them, I will never want to click them.

This has been pointed out a lot of times. Apparently it's a fair sized job to fix it.

The only measurable impact that April Fools had on our traffic levels was on the A/C forum specifically, which in that month recorded the second highest number of posts on record (i.e. in the past 3 years). Mind you, we did also increase our intra-site marketing and had a bunch of high-profile exclusive interviews around the same time. So not all of that can be contributed to CFC, we know for a fact that a lot more Polytubbies started listening then as well. Exactly how many CFCers listen to PolyCast we'll never know, but frankly we don't really care: despite its name and the fact that we like to make fun of CFC almost every show PolyCast is aimed at all Civ fans, regardless of what site(s) they prefer for their daily fix

We're not doing any more work on vB2 that's not strictly necessary, we're focusing all of our (very limited) manpower on vB3 (which will indeed be much cleaner). As LS points out, if you really hate it that much there are ways around it.
