Request: change the spoiler tag

May I suggest to change Apolyton's spoiler tags from the current

Spoiler:

spoiler

to CFC's version of spoiler tags?

This makes it possible to make a list which gives a quick and good general overview, but also with more detailed information only a mouse-click away. Like on the screenshot. Apolyton doesn't allow this.

Correct.

I have long preferred the way spoiler tags are handled in version 3.x of vBulletin (which CFC uses) to version 2.x (of which we use a heavily modified copy).

Apolyton's forums will be upgraded to version 3.x of this software and when that happens -- which we hope is sooner rather than later still -- the spoiler tag implementation will 'upgrade' along with it.

Are you in charge or not? I don't want to be rude but I think as chief owner you should pay more attention to claims made by your staff.

I'm not picking on Ming either as he's not the only one. Naturally we all know the site is staffed by volunteers so the reasonable amongst us don't expect the moon on a stick, and immediately - but you can still have a policy where you provide updates on previous commitments.

It would save you from embarrassment when people bump year old threads with 'amusing' claims made in them.

I am a volunteer just as the rest of staff members here are. Ming gave no definitive date on when the new FAQ was to be posted that I can recall though I believe he gave some form of a general timeline. When that date came to pass but still no new FAQ, I am certain that was addressed at some point afterwards publicly by Ming, myself or another administrator on site. It probably came about after a friendly reminder, and if so that was appreciated not only for what it was but how it was communicated.

It has been some time since that update was made I'm sure, so to say that that the new FAQ should be posted by now or an another update be given as to why not is fair play in my view. Always keep in mind that in addition to being volunteers, we Apolyton staff members are human too. Other matters here and particularly in "real life" come up and items on any and all 'to-do' lists can fall through the cracks as a result.

Where one is looking for an(other) update on something that has not materialized in what they have reason to believe (or know) was a/the given timeframe, do so constructively and leave the attitude out of it.
