The 'fountains' of water instantly get the point across in a way that single tears can never hope to do, but at the same time it's simple enough that it's not over the top.

I stand by that the smilie is shaded too dark a blue. If someone could lighten it...

It does.

Because no one has supplied us with a transparent version (that I'm aware of). Haven't been able to find one otherwise.

Agreed. Teh intended use, as I see it, of teh crying smiley is for when you've been arguing with someone, and trying to convince him/her of your argument, and then s/he makes a post that totally misses teh point. So you quote teh post, and put a bawling smiley under it.

He does not have transparent eyes -- eyes are present.

I used the more reliable method: Change the forum style

On default style he has white eyes, on Civ 3 style he has almost black eyes and on Moo3 style he has blue eyes
