The Altera Centauri collection has been brought up to date by Darsnan. It comprises every decent scenario he's been able to find anywhere on the web, going back over 20 years.
25 themes/skins/styles are now available to members. Check the select drop-down at the bottom-left of each page.

it seems i have a trouble being understood today. or people dont read thoroughly enough
since joncha on the first sight of trouble asked for a refund from the community, it is only obvious that his suggestion that by paying for a subscription he was more bonded with the community is mute.
in fact, joncha's move proves that at least for him, subscribing equals that the community owes him for providing his monetary support.
Thanks for recognising my years of support, really. I appreciate it. I can't for the life of me think of why I might not want to continue supporting the site.
Sorry G, but poly's subscription concept has always been a bad idea. If you want a structure that allows people to donate money, then set it up in the form of a donation and not in the form of a commercial product.

but that's what i'm arguing, it was never a donation scheme
The administration of Apolyton Civilization Site (ACS), the oldest continuously and arguably largest operating Civilization fansite on the Internet, is today announcing the launch of the "ApolytonPLUS" (PLUS) subscription service for its visitor base. It will allow registered users of ACS' forums to enhance their browsing experience with perks not available to non-subscribers. This service brings together a long-standing call by visitors wanting to directly support ACS' operations, and the position of the ACS administration not to institute a donation mechanism. Subscription bonuses constitute mostly expansions to existing features. Access to ACS content is not being restricted in whole or in part as a result of PLUS' implementation; content consumption remains free for subscribers and non-subscribers.
Can I get the balance of joncha's PolyPLUS membership? It's only fair, considering that I have to put up with his drivel incessantly.
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891
The problem is that most people are buying the product to support the site (rather than the product itself).

Indeed. And there are 10 months remaining on my subscription.
so whenever you want, plus is a way to support the site but now plus is commercial service and you demand a refund (even though you agreed to it's turns which include no refunds)
