Nothing ever happens to anyone any more so the place is going to the dogs.

Perhaps, but he may have a point. While the OT is somewhat of a Culture Club or even Sub-culture club, often people get run off. Yes people need thicker skin but sometimes it can get pretty sporty.

Not you LordShiva but a few are fairly carnivorous in nature and maybe a little of it should being toned down, as Ming stated, done currently behind the scenes with warnings as an attempt to work with so called offenders in hopes of curtailing some of the unnecessary activities and interactions.

Actually... no, I don't want to hang people publicly. While it might have minor deterant value, it just helps glorify the persons rules violations. For the same reason, I usually deleted spam threads or other problem threads instead of closing them. I don't like to leave "memorials" to rules violations. I prefer the more low key approach... people and threads just disappear

And while some may not think we aren't taking a lot of actions, that's only because we generally try to not be too visible about it. I delete many threads and posts, send warning PM's, and restrict people... but most of it flies benieth the radar )

Winston made a directed, personal attack on me about my person. The definition of malicious personal attack.

In return, I make a facetious comment about Winston giving George W. a handjob -- really more of a comment about his pro-American "USA USA USA" stance more than anything else, and I get banned.

What Winston, and now Oerdin, do is act all high-and-mighty, tattle-tale-ish, just so when they do dish out the personal insults no one seems to notice.
