Somehow, I think they would proceed with a merger, once prepared, regardless of member opinion. If they had wanted to sample forum-goer's opinions in a serious manner, I think this would have simply been put forth as a proposal previously.

Though honestly, I don't think it would be a terrible idea. Except for trying to charge for savegames, which really is a terrible idea and first shook me out of thinking this was serious.
