Can I say that most of us don't have anything against Apolytoners as such, but rather some of the site's features that will get merged over. The Plus thing, and the paying for GOTM and HOF are the most opposed over there at the moment. I'm sorry to say that the general mood over there is that CFCers wouldn't gain anything from this merge, whereas Apolytoners would get their site updated. That's bound to cause some tension, no?

Hey! You have to admit that, at least superficially, the layout of CFC is better? Also, we at CFC are using a more recent version of the vB code, IIRC

The site upgrade some of us aren't particular pleased about; we like what we have. Paying for GOTM I think is a bad move, because all of the staff will just move to somewhere else and run it. The way that Poly Plus works is that everyone gets the basics, but plus gets a larger avatar, more pm storage, priority when server load is high...and a shiny bar that says they gave money. Really, I haven't paid for plus in 2 years and with Firefox I haven't noticed a difference between the two, so I really wouldn't fret over the deal. Paying for GOTM is more important IMO.

okay I know what GOTM is not, what is your HOF over there?

and this is not real. Thunderfall probably hasn't woken up yet either (I'm assuming he's a western hemisphere guy).

I'm 99.9999% certain this is not true.

But even if it were, it would not be the end of the world. Our Apolycon was pretty cool and unique. And our polycasts (though I still have no idea what they are, or if they are any good ). If we took the best from our site, it would benefit yours. And vice versa.

Implementation would be a nightmare though. Which is why I know this is not true.

and no, I prefer light/default forum style on Poly to any of the forum styles on CFC. Black CFC and Mac are the best 2, and they give me headaches. The rest make me want to throw up.
