We could carry on the discussion with thoughts about what we will be doing during this new year - and then on to what we will be doing next new year.

I still haven't made any new years resolutions. As such, it looks unlikely that I will fail any resolutions.

My new year's resolution: coffee is out! So far, so good...

The only new year's resolution I've ever kept is the one from 1988... I was 18, soon 19, and secretly in love with a girl in my class... I promised myself to tell her sometime during 1989... In february, I did and we became a couple...

In june, she dumped me... Took me a year or two to completely get over her...

December, 2004: determined that I should quit drinking coffee... Went all right until june 2005, when, at La Place du Château in Nyon (Switzerland) I thought that a single café latte couldn't hurt...

Let's see how long this one lasts...
