Yay for less clutter.
Though, incidentally, my resolution is high enough where I hit "end" and can read just the last post, I agree it would improve the interface to remove some random stuff.
For instance, I know "Form Rules" section is there by default in the forum software, it's pretty useless to me. I just basically tells me I am logged in, only in five lines.
Then there's the banner below that, ok, I can see how that needs to stay.
Links, poll, ok. "Powered by" probably has to stay due to some licensing issues, fine. "Page generated in..." is some curious information for computer geeks and surely good for debugging, but probably nobody but admins really needs to see it?
Then there's the amazon, and chips&bits links, ok, I guess. I can see their utility, and they don't take up that much space.
Finally there is a list of all the sections of apolyton and then the affiliated sites. Does that really need to be there? Would a single link to home or a drop down a-la forum jump not do as well?
