Even the OT here is fairly mild compared to many sites. CFC has stricter policing (Lefty Scaevola objected to my use of the term "euroweenies") but it doesn't make it more civil.

The CFC OT is also cool. It's more serious and is moderated more strictly, but still cool.

CFC OT would be kewler if I posted there more. Perfection and TLC and rmshape and... well, there's a good number of regulars that make CFC a decent place to hangout.
That being said. I like Poly better. Maybe it's because I post here more, or because the mods here allow a little more leeway. Still, it is the moding that makes this place more of a community than a cluster fvck of words and spam.
And Stuie is going on my ignore list until I get invited over.

Yep, this has become a home on the Web for many here, including myself. Got to agree with DarkCloud, though, there have been issues in the recent 6 months or so with treatment of new members. Several new members who dropped over at the Civ4 forums were flamed by different posters. And yes, the flaming was excessive.
The CFC OT, though, I'll admit, I actually like much more than our OT. Most threads in our OT degenerate too fast into an argument between two or three posters, or get threadjacked too quickly. Plus, there's a ton of non-serious threads, with the rest usually being Bush-bash threads or political headlines. I've got to admit, though, the OT is great to visit just to get a scoop on the headlines. CNN-lite.
The CFC OT is nice when you want a more serious read. There are many genuinely serious threads there with interesting discussions.Solver, WePlayCiv Co-Administrator

I do think CFC is junk compared to poly. They have a lot more extremists who believe that if they just shout louder that they will win the debate. CFC is also full of a lot of 18 year olds who just know how to solve the world's problems because they listen to Rush Limbaugh or saw a tv show on how hemp oil could save the whales.Try http://wordforge.net/index.php for discussion and debate.Comment
