You could always volunteer your time FOR FREE like the staff members do, and then you too can get "special treatment" ie, EARN it

And remember... just a simple 3 words has to be done manually by one of the NON PAID staffers... on their own free time. Now you might say, that we could always allow the users to create their own with no mod involved... but then we would spend even more of our free time monitoring them for site acceptablity...

other sites are pretty paranoid,where i come from like the mentioned HG. i wouldnt imagine ASKING for mod abilities.,or vollunterring. they ussually invite from people who have done things for the community.

With rare exception, most staff members started off by sending a PM to Dan or Markos asking if there was anything they could do for the site. There is tons of stuff that needs to be done besides being a mod. Remember, the forums represent only one portion of this VERY LARGE site. But yeah... when it comes to modding... the ones that volunteer are usally not the best candidates... most of us got conned into it

I agree, it seemed too much for me at the time I first suscribed to pay the lifetime subscription, and still is too much, but after a couple of years of paying subscription (and hopefully continueing to receive credit for being a long term member), I should be able to afford the lifetime membership.
