  • Viewing Apolyton with Mozilla Firefox...

I have some problems viewing all the details when I use Mozilla Firefox.

For example, I cannot see the buttons "Profile for Carolus Rex", "Send Carolus Rex a PM", "Add Carolus Rex to your buddy list" etc... They're just grey squares without any text or symbols whatsoever...

Is this a common problem and can I do something about it (without changing to another browser )?

        Hm... Me too...

You use any customised settings for Apolyton (different colours etc)? I use the default...

I just tried here at work too... Same problem...

At home I run Windows 98 SE; here Windows XP... At home the browser version is 1.0.4; here I use 1.0...

            Strange!

I have the same, but if I recall correctly, you had the option when installing Firefox to disable this sort of helptexts. I did so, so...

I can't even see the smileys in my posts above (are these considered "helptexts" too?)...

                    GeoModder,

I don't remember having discarded something or other when installing the browser. Is there a way to enable it in "options" somewhere?

                      Slight threadjack

Firefox has for the past few days giving me some annoying problems on 'Poly only. Whenever I load a page it starts with the normal "show what has been loaded", but as soon as the page has loaded it "reloads" but faster (takes only a blink of an eye). The only way to avoid this is by pressing ESC (or the stop sign). What annoys me about this is if you click on a link before this happens nothing happens. I can't tell how much time I've wasted waiting for the next page to open before noticing it's not loading it

I haven't changed any settings in Firefox or anything. Anyone else had this problem?
This space is empty... or is it?

@Carolus: I have no idea. I only seem to remember vinking an option not to allow 'help text' when setting up the browser.

i haven't had the problem either...
"Mal nommer les choses, c'est accroître le malheur du monde" - Camus (thanks Davout)

"I thought you must be dead ..." he said simply. "So did I for a while," said Ford, "and then I decided I was a lemon for a couple of weeks. A kept myself amused all that time jumping in and out of a gin and tonic."

I haven´t experienced the problems described by either Carolus Rex or Adagio. I do have other Firefox problems though...
