Call To Power 2 Cradle 3+ mod in progress: https://apolyton.net/forum/other-games/call-to-power-2/ctp2-creation/9437883-making-cradle-3-fully-compatible-with-the-apolyton-edition
Hmm... maybe people aren't as interested in apolyton as before- maybe mark and dan have some usage statistics that they can access from the UBBoard on how many posts were made in the last few months- I would figure that the number declined.
I know for a fact that the AC community section was much less active- and no one ever posts in GalCiv or MOO's sections, and the AltCiv's is less active than ever, etc.

That happens every year. Most of the activity takes place around December and then it declines until about August/September. This year it's been made worse by the fact no new game or expansion pack has been released in over a year. Things will only get worse in the next months before possible/hopefully hitting an all-time high come Civ4...
Hmmm... never noticed that, but now that I think about it- it's quite true- with some exceptions
August/Sept and LATE december seem to be peaks... early december is, in my experience, a very slow time.
May-July are usually the weakest.
Though this year Feb-now have been really slow... despite a LOT of new registrations- I suppose it's all due to Civ III becoming old hat.
However, it might be a lack of things to intelligently discuss... all the spammy 'one word' posts don't stimulate newbies to post as much as the longer ones did in the past becuase the newbies might not feel as integrated into the community.
At least that's my theory, since I do not see too many people registered since May 2004 becoming that actively involved in the site- but I will admit that I do not visit the Civ III sections that often. However, where I DO visit, which is about 50% of the forum sections, it does not appear that newbies are posting.

I don't think it's really going up. Maybe a little. But I still have many real life issues to attend to rather than posting. MAybe once Civ4 gets out and I can start working on Civ4MultiTool my posts would go up again. At least if I keep a replyrate as I did with C3MT during it's early phase.
