A Room With A View: Revisited

A lot in life dictates what you do or feel, speak about or think about. Sometimes we have deep, dark inner thoughts, tucked away and thought to be safe from emission into the air we know as public display.

There is a time in life when we all make decisions and are either proud or indifferent where the chips fall over these actions.

I am forty nine, my own man, recently have been under lots of medications in past two and a half years. No, this is not a get out of jail free card or a license to thrill; it is merely stating what my life has been through.

The easiest route is condemnation; a full roster of person’s to assist in finding one guilty as charged. There would be no rebuttal on this man’s part that I have been less than desirable in posting style.

Let’s look from a birds eye view, yes even standing next to the beautiful Rapunzel in the tower. Life appears so beautiful from afar. Then we have desire in our heart and desire turns to lust and that which we once desired we now covet.

I have desired to be humorous and have seen what I thought was not humorous by many posters and chose myself a root that which was undesirable, not edifying in the least, not appealing but detracting. It was more shock than entertainment. It was questioned by many as to being appropriate. This is what is contained within my heart that I must seek to remove. It is dark; it is not warm and most certainly not appropriate. I must repent from being offensive.

In my heart I have many rooms, yes, and not all are dark, most are warm, loving and comfortable. Many have charitable offerings. I have mantles covered with desire to make folks feel loves and warm. I also have the cellar, where at times deep, dark sin emits through the floor grates. I am not talking of judging any, not for me to do. I am speaking of loving my fellow posters.

Doth one among you have things that offend you that you have not allowed to flow from your heart and across your lips? Hath thine desire to hold it back sufficed even unto this hour?

I am brutally honest and many have said I can give but can’t take. Not even close to the truth. I can and have taken and yes given. But one individual does not sit judge and jury on what is and is not acceptable. No, I am not talking of moderatorship or even administration here, I am speaking that of what is right that a man should think or do. I have my views and many others have theirs. Together we strive to get along.

For me, I am seeking to redeem myself to an acceptable level. Here is the crux of the matter however, I am doing it for my heart to be right. But what would our community do to assist or help promote a member who wants to repent and be restored? Will the gentle old Gramps ever be recognized once again or forever will Grandpa Troll be known as one who is in left field with questionable yay even objectionable posts and attachments?

I am standing, in A Room with a View, looking upon the road that lies before me; I look at my two oldest friends, my left foot and my right foot. I close my eyes and gently smile, lifting up on right foot and placing in front of my left foot and chuckle, knowing I have done this too many times, the road to redemption, and yes as the Beatles put it so eloquently, The Long and Winding Road.

See you all on the forums, and yes, will work to be a better person!

Gramps, it is my honest opinion that only those that don't know you could truly be offended by you. What you have been through the last couple of years would stretch any one. Just be you. Those that take the time to get to know you will be the better for it. I know I am.

Fair play I guess, but have gotten some very ugly emails/PM's and felt most were not warranted.

But, thanks for the encouragement.

Bottom lline, I am not looking trouble and thoroughly enjoy gaming and more so the fellowship of folks such as yourself.

But, we persevere to be a better person my Brother!

And, most importantly, what some may deem as offense is (in my observation) categorically not aimed at the ones offended. Anyone who is looking for a fight can find one.
