          • Some Orthodox celebrate Christmas on December 25 of the older Julian calendar, which is January 7 on the Gregorian Calendar. Which is also why many people leave their decorations up until the 7th

              Twelfth Night/Epiphany is a more common reason that decorations are kept up until the 6/7th of Jan.

                        My family has always had a tradtion of taking out the Christmas decorations on the 20th day of Christmas, ie 13th January.

                              • Nah, first it's tradition(although my mum claims she wants to get it out NOW and not later, the tree f.ex. takes too mcuh place...). Second, it's an old tradition, but it's not like everyone does it anymore.
