  • Ad with Sound!?!

What's with the new Ad with sound? I'm sick of hearing that "Tired of your old push button phone" every five minutes. So, what, I can't listen to music while surfing now?

    Grrrrr!
Christianity: The belief that a cosmic Jewish Zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree...

I was just going to make a thread on this.

How do you get rid of it? can firefox do anything about this?

I usually post here with the sound off, but I've been watching some movies I have downloaded, and sometimes I leave the sound on. Or sometimes when I'm playing my music on winamp and surfing poly, you hear those ads over my beautiful songs.

as for being a plus member. It goes against my principles.

These are awful! Poly might have finally found something that will drive me away.

One thing for certain: I will never, ever, ever buy anything sold via one of these intrusive, obnoxious ads...from now until the end of all eternity!

How come I don't get any adds btw, I allow pop-ups from Apolyton.net in Firefox.
Do I need to allow a different address (too) ? IIRC did the same thing in Firefox 0.8 & 0.9 and it worked perfectly ( I'm currently using 1.0pr)

Me too... Pretty much the only ads I get to see are the various survey ads and I don't get any pop-ups at all.

Same here - no pop-ups, mostly survey-ads. I use Firefox.

That adblock really works, this is great. Thanks Apolyton, for finally convincing me to ignore all your ads! You still get the revenue from them as if they were displayed though, right?
