highlighted should be "space layer", but one time it is and another time it isnt.

I think what he means, is that on the second pic, the word 'layer' is not coloured red as it should be.

That's not a bug. That's because of the right paranthesis immediately following the second "layer" does not count as white space.

The point is whether fixing this behaviour materially helps. It may be a flaw, but if it doesn'f affect actual usage, it doesn't need to be fixed.
