When you Eurocoms get in the sport-line with the US .
We would love to, but I wonder if we would get the asians, south-americans and africans with us.
Pherhaps it's easier if you come to our side

i'd watch more american "foot"ball if they'd lose the paddings and stop making that many breaks after every 10 seconds of play

only american sport which could have a chance to be a world wide popular sport would be basketball. it's besides football (the real one) the only sport you can play in any area. baseball in the slums of mumbay?

For basketball you still need two baskets.
        And concrete, for that matter.
Football is playable any time, any place.

But basketball is a cool sport to practice for sure.
        It sucks to watch it.

Baseball is a worldwide sport, friend.

It's just that in poor areas they play 'stickball', not baseball

Baseball is big in Central America and in Japan.

If you mean that it's practiced over the entire world, you're right. (along with plenty other sports)
If you mean that it's famous worldwide........ you're soooo wrong.

I think there's only one sport that famous worldwide, which is football.
There is no other sport that comes even close.
And on the list baseball isn't even close to the top-10

I think tennis, volleyball, hockey and basketball are more populair around the world, to start with.

ok, this thread is slipping slightly off topic

just one last thing: baseball is in the rest of the (former british) world more like cricket. it's the national sport in india, pakistan, etc. but baseballers are insulted by that comparison.

and i personally think football isn't that interesting to watch (like BB). with a few minor changes in rules (15 seconds limit for continuing game after any type of out-of-bounds, severe penalties for obvious dives (portugal, italy and croatia wouldn't have any players left ), penalty kicks from 16metres instead of 11 and scrapping the offside rule completely (most women don't understand it anyway ) football could be as interesting to watch as ice hockey or rugby

but to bring this back on-topic:
mark... imho you can leave the greek flag all the way through until the end of the olympic games. you guys deserve it

                  Yeah w/e.
Athens 2004 will totally suck compared to Sydney 2000.
                  Sydney rules!

IIUC, baseball is big in the Spanish speaking Caribean Islands - Cuba, Dominan Republic, Puerto Rico. But mainland Central America, like Mexico, is Soccer/football playing not baseball. Baseball is also big in Taiwan though, i think.

Thinking about it again, it was more something like: "Old logo with the greek flag"

There was nothing new with the logo, apart from the greek flag, but that was already mentioned.
It's like saying: "Red car with a red color"
