I'm used to baseball where ILs are common because of scheduling and active rosters are larger but with more restricted benches

we got 9 bench spots with smaller active rosters, 1 or 2 IL is fine

maybe next year we can add a defender and bump their pts up a bit so they're less of an afterthought for the later rounds

I'm just hoping to continue my 2-year post-Covid streak of making it to the final game -- but maybe winning it this time.

I play in a league called fear the D and its so heavy on defense the top defenders are viable early round picks, even 1st round if the situation is compelling

the top defenders score in the same range with the best WR/RBs

the scoring is 1.75 for tackle, 1.0 assist... sacks, int and ff are 5, TD and safety 7, F rec, PD and tackles for loss 4, blk k 6 and 10yds/pt for TO return yards

I'm in another league with 7 defenders and 1 team defense with even higher points for defenders but its a larger roster with more points scored by everyone, that one has
2.25 pt/tackle and 1.15 for assists

btw, I never researched the settings or cared much. I looked thru yahoo public custom leagues looking for defense heavy settings and joined 2 leagues. The 2nd league has 10 pts for sacks and INT but only 5 for F rec. I think an INT is better than recovering a fumble but both are still TOs, usually the INT takes more talent than falling on a loose ball.
