Since the Bears had the Home pick and started off the new year with a trade I though it was a good time for the new thread. I had wanted the Bears to trade with Houston and then again with Indy to move down to #4 and get a bunch of high draft picks. But the Bears traded to Albums and got a pretty good load of future picks (which could be high) and a very good WR as well. He is not in the top tier but his career yardage puts him ahead of Johnny Morris who currently leads the Bears all time. Then they pick up LB's Tremaine Edmunds and T.J. Edwards (WILL and MIKE, respectively) plus they get G Nate Davis. Much more work to do on the OL and other areas, but it's a good start.

And DE DeMarcus Walker from Titans.

NFL schedules were announced, with the Bears and Packers playing on the first week and last week of the season.

Also, I applaud the Tennessee Titans for tweeting this video of on-the-street Nashvillians announcing their schedule... A fairly hilarious 2 minutes:

I bet on sports on Parimatch. I bet on soccer in the app ca.parimatch.com without any problems and I don't feel I don't feel disadvantaged in any way. I like the odds here, the convenient mobile app and adequate withdrawal time. For me, it is convenient at least because I am at the computer rarely

Well so much for the Bears being better on defense. Packers started by running ball effectively and then their receivers kept getting wide open. No pass rush and linebackers trying to run with receivers. The offense looks uninspired except for the one TD drive. Sounds like there were some missed PI calls against Pack early but since Comcast Fox channel is pixelatig I couldn't see for myself, Finally got it on the Xfinity app but it's really not worth it for this game. Now 37-14 after INT with Fields trying to make something happen. Oh well. Another long year.

              Agreed.
The Bears looked atrocious. Fields looks like he's regressed.

I find it amusing how every year you guys seem surprised at how bad the bears are

If the Cubs can win a world series, the Bears can suddenly be mediocre.

Who has the better defense: the Bears or the Broncos?

I would say Broncos. Bears have no pass rush. Like, none.

Watching pregame and former WR for Carolina Steve Smith was offering harsh words for Jerry Jeudy before the trade deadline advising against hiring him. Ouch. Dont know what exactly started the bruhaha but I think Smith said Jeudy was average and Jeudy must have responded so Smith unleashed on him, said he wasn't mentally fit for the job. Smith was a badass for a little guy in the NFL and it does take a mental toughness to play at that level. Maybe Russell and Jeudy will go off tonite, if the Broncos want to trade him they'll want to show he's good to go.

The former Carolina Panthers great and current NFL Network analyst said on air that he called out to Jeudy before Thursday night's game between the Broncos and Kansas City Chiefs. Smith said he'd previously called Jeudy a "JAG" — "just a guy" in NFL vernacular, meaning he was just an average player — and said he wanted to tell him that he was playing well and "I know I said some things in the past I probably shouldn't have, and I'm sorry."

"That's what I wanted to say to him," Smith said on NFL Network.

Smith said that Jeudy blew him off. Smith said that Jeudy told him, "I don't mess with you," but with a curse word. Jeudy said that twice, Smith said.

Smith, not surprisingly, was fired up by that and absolutely ripped Jeudy on air.

"I'm sorry I said you were a "JAG," just a guy, who is an average wide receiver they used a first-round pick on that isn't doing anything," Smith said. "I hope today you actually show up in a way you haven't shown up in the last couple years since they drafted you.

"So if you ever got a problem with "Agent 89,' I'm sorry for saying you're an average wide receiver that they will eventually move on [from]. And when teams call me and ask if they should trade for you, I would say no, don't trade for Jerry Jeudy. Because he's mentally unable to handle constructive criticism from people who watch specifically, can he be a wide receiver? He can be a wide receiver. He's a tier three."

So Steve Smith calls Jeudy a JAG and Jeudy refuses to talk to him anymore. That's probably what I would do. End of story.
But not for Steve Smith. Can't take a hint and instead reacts by attacking Jeudy AGAIN, claiming that his on-air diss was "constructive criticism" and then upping the ante by telling potential employers not to trade for him.

So while it may be true that Jerry Jeudy is "Just A Guy" as a WR, Steve Smith is totally a jagoff as a reporter/analyst, and as a human.

Why would teams be calling Steve Smith for his opinion? Has he become a great talent analyst? I don't watch *googles* NFL Network, so I haven't seen his work but this sounds like he is yet another Skip Bayless wannabe trying to get a bag by spouting enough nonsense. Jeudy might be a late bloomer or JAG but lots of those contributing to teams. At least he's useful.

Smith is the one that's mentally unfit.
