1-3-19 is the first tournament and the message I got below the 3 tiers of 2 players says the field isn't set yet

Yes I was waiting for the Xmas holidays to set up the tiers - no worries

Just FYI: the Tiers are now setup but following the site's standard tiers for now, the field in the Event is not yet known that is why you cant pick a roster for now.

The tiers look a bit weird because they sprinkled some random players in Group A and B because of issues in certain tournaments where they would no players from a certain Tier (ie in a WGC nobody from Group C...) but the way they did this is not optimal because completely random (ie they have Tony Romo in Group A !?!??!)

Its logical to have to do this and historically its why Yahoo ended up with those weird 3 groups over time.

So my preference is still to make our own Tiers and for that I am thinking of using a randomizer, some human input (ie having more European Tour high ranked players in Group C) and then checking over manually for any anomalies.

It will never be exactly like Yahoo since we will select 2 players from Group A and C - instead of just one in Yahoo...

This may be more Yahoo-like, but it's definitely different, which is fine. I was starting to get comfortable and we can't have that.

In terms of interface/visually its very different of course; but for the rest in terms of format and strategy it should be very similar: the only difference being the in-tournament swapping - which had many disadvantages for 'casual' players tbh...

This first tournament shows the limits of the format I feel: only 2 players in Group C, a loaded Group A and weak group B..
I really want to tweak that but the interface of the BuzzFantasy website is cumbersome and everything is manual which has hindered my ability to customize the groups.

Lets take this 1st tournament as a live test and see if we can improve starting next week....

Not seeing any scoring yet except for my own. They don't update league daily?

Yes so go to the STANDINGS page and there is a VIEW LIVE SCORING orange button above the teams, click it and then scroll down the page (admittedly pretty bad user interface here)
and you will see the Live scores, fluctuating with minimal delay. Thats pretty cool (if it looked better).

In-round scores include the Bonuses - so when one of your golfers is ie. in first place the live score shows the 20-point bonus which is not really handy because that bonus will not be added at the end of the round - except when watching the last round then you will always know who is in the lead (which was never the case with Yahoo)

TBH its pretty basic but still quite simple, I believe that its more a question of getting used to it than anything else - if you can not find something or have trouble using the website/finding any functionality: please DO tell me and I can post some screenshots/tutorial!

Personally I think its pretty cool we can have our Fantasy League back with only minor changes to what it was with Yahoo

for more details click on your TEAM to the scoring of your golfers relative to the leaderboard (nicer than Yahoo)
