That bye week really slammed the brakes on my level of interest.

Bubba Watson withdrew from the Arnold Palmer Invitational after his opening round, citing issues related to allergies.
Watson signed for an 11-over-par 39-44=83 before calling it quits. He split only four (of 14) fairways and hit nine greens en route to a lone birdie at the par-5 16th where he first stood over an eagle try from just inside 22 feet. Alas, it was another par 5 that played spoiler -- the sixth hole over and around water. The lefty dumped three tee balls into it en route to an 11. He was already 5-over on the round thanks in part to a triple bogey at the par-4 18th where he pushed his drive out of bounds left. Today's score is his highest on TOUR since a second-round 84 at the 2008 Memorial. UPDATE: Watson explained his decision on Twitter in three entries: "Just wanted to tell my fans I'm sorry I had to withdraw from @APinv this week. My allergies have taken over! ... It's hard to focus when you're heads all discombobulated from medicine and pollen #spellcheck ... Looking forward to getting back out there #twoweekstilaugusta"
