Hey, NYE. Last time we chatted may have been about one of the old Demo games - those still going on?

The office pool I've agreed to is very casual and we haven't even been told what the format is yet - likely something very simple. When I find out I'll create a mock Yahoo league for myself so I can see their rankings. I may also grab a few free projection rankings (e.g. TSN). Next comes making my own list, which I'm sure will cause me many questions along these lines:
- Who the heck is "Johnny Appleseed"?
- Oh, him - I remember him, which may mean that he's over-the-hill now - is that the case?
- Oh, he changed teams - does he play on the top line still?

I hadn't completely blocked out hockey. I still followed my 'Nuckleheads, but after them my knowledge of other teams declines in relation to how many times they played Vancouver.

I'm not aware of any demo games ATM. I haven't been gaming much though.

IIRC, you gained a sprog and so were going to spend less time doing actual useful things like hockey pools and annoying people on Poly. How is the sprog?

Heh, my sprog is super, turning 4 yrs old this November. And he has a little brother as well, who turned 2 this summer. After the 2nd was born we moved back to Vancouver. I'm still doing the same thing, except now that I'm back in Vancouver I can actually go into the office so I don't work from home like I used to.

2 and almost 4 ?? You are still too busy for words. But cherish this time when you are their whole world. Mine are 8 and 5 and even with that little difference in age from yours, it is completely different. Both have school and neighborhood friends and it seems that Mrs Flubber and I always have several hours every weekend when they are down the street with friends or whatever.



Oh and your pool? The settings are the key. I just drafted in one where I ignored goals (except tho the extent it played into their PPP, SHP and plus minus)-- If its a casual office pool they will probably just use points or some other settings which will mimic the standard rankings. Your key will be trying to find the steals if people just go off last years points and forget some injury folks ( Roy, Streit and Markov come to mind)

Being a Dad rocks. Yes, life is uber-busy, and I wouldn't miss it for the world. We have a blast and so far we haven't seemed to screw them up - my eldest loves all sports and is especially good at baseball and soccer, loves art, and amongst a set of 6 cousins (ages 2-7) is easily the best at playing games on the iPad.

Yep, although injury folks can have risks too of course - those folks require background checks, to make sure the previous year was not just typical for games-played. I'll have to keep myself from over-doing this though, as I said it is casual, and I don't want to head down that slippery slope that previously saw me getting up at 3am so that I could make waiver-wire trades before everyone else.

I have reset the draft. That was easy. The players picked were retained. The reset took us back to after results were entered and before I clicked the big button.

Hooray for an intelligently implemented feature!

YOU MUST RESET your ROSTER if you had already set it for the first day/week/all season.

I made the changes that Guy made to his roster. I did not notice any other adds or drops. If you made some, please REDO ROSTER CHANGES.

Everyone esle should SET YOUR MF ROSTER! Because when I reset the draft, all the rosters got set back to all bench.
