Call To Power 2 Cradle 3+ mod in progress: https://apolyton.net/forum/other-games/call-to-power-2/ctp2-creation/9437883-making-cradle-3-fully-compatible-with-the-apolyton-edition
I've heard a bit about the details, and, wow. I'm trying to think of a situation where joking about it would be acceptable, and I'm coming up with nothing.
That **** is bad.
The game in State College this weekend is going to be awkward.
Also, this better be JoePa's last season. It's a shame he's going to go out like this.
It seems like the AD and the campus cop are the sacraficial lambs for PSU, I think Paterno finishes the year. Whether he retires or not at the end of the season I won't even begin to bet on.
The Penn State situation is very sad. If Paterno didn't report to the authorities after knowing some details, he should go post-haste.
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891
Is it just me, or is everyone overreacting to Paterno's part of this story?
When notified of an incident, he reported it to the Administration and campus police. At the time he didn't know about the other alleged incidents. It remains unclear exactly how much information was told to Paterno according to some news sources. Was it in bad taste to allow Sandusky to maintain privileges at the team facility? Absolutely.
It was a complete moral failing, on every level. Sandusky was still using school facilities as of a week ago. Campus police is a ****ing joke.
I'm not going to defend the campus police. But I'm not going to fault Paterno for notifying the authorities and then not performing his own investigation. He's a football coach, not a cop.
In all fairness, EX chief Lieutenant
but to me that might make it a little different but not enough to just sit there and not follow up on it. Especially after whatever happened that he resigned in the first place. Sorry "realizing that I would never be his successor" just isn't doing it for me. And if there was something funky going on back then and Paterno know about it, I would consider his later actions criminal.
It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Sheeple
RIP Tony Bogey & Baron O
It was a complete moral failing on Paterno's part. You can't just wish child molestation goes away.
Also Penn State likes to hold itself up as a more than just, well, an Ohio State.
“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
