Um... Favre throwing only seven picks in a year was the hiccup. He usually throws a heap of 'em.

**** you seriously **** you
i see this stupid tactic that you do. it's the same stupid **** that the Genius Clique does where they want to paint me as a ****ing ****** and somehow everybody else feels the need to chime in and call me a ****** even though no one seems to possess reading comprehension levels to be able to read what the **** I said (I ****ING SAID TOP BIT BIT BIT BIT BIT OF THE LIST!!!! NOT THE VERY TOP OF THE LIST!!!!!) and even if i ****ing said FAVRE ALONE is a surprise to be on top it STILL wouldn't be right to call me stupid because lookie here! Sloww and Jrabbit both said it's a surprise. I'm sure plenty of experts have written articles saying it's a surprise.
To say it's a surprise that Favre sucks so bad is not ****ing retarded it's ****ing the truth to most people who ARE surprised he sucks so bad. AND I DIDN'T EVEN SAY THAT!!!
If this **** is consistent with what happens when the Genius Clique members do it, Jrabbit and Sloww will say nothing even though they said Favre surprised them and instead may even pile it on with some retarded ****. Of course, now that I said something and called them out, they might not."Flutie was better than Kelly, Elway, Esiason and Cunningham." - Ben Kenobi

Eli 17
Brees 16
Peyton 15
Chad Henne 15
McNabb 15
Palmer 15
WHERE?! WHERE?! WHERE?! ****ING WHERE?!
maybe I should have said "who's IN" instead of "who's AT" but **** it. it's ****ing clear by the fact that I have 7 names there and not 1."Flutie was better than Kelly, Elway, Esiason and Cunningham." - Ben Kenobi

That's nice. I was talking about Favre because you said that even if you had been talking about Favre alone it would have been surprising. You know, the part I quoted. I never mentioned the others because I wasn't questioning that part.
And Favre's hiccup was last year, not this. It would be surprising if he had managed to maintain his performance last year, but he (unsurprisingly) reverted to the way he's been every other year for the last 20. The man has thrown more picks than anybody else in the history of the league, are you really making the argument that him throwing picks this year is a surprise?"In the beginning was the Word. Then came the ******* word processor." -Dan Simmons, Hyperion

No they don't. Imran didn't.
I wouldn't get hyped if Imran didn't learn from KH, Kuci, gribbler (oh especially gribbler) and Solomwi the same ****ing tactic. that's what's going on."Flutie was better than Kelly, Elway, Esiason and Cunningham." - Ben Kenobi

Anyway so does McDaniels' termination have any effect on Tim Tebow's development? If I ran an organization, McDaniels would be one of the top guys I would want to develop a diamond in the rough sort of QB like Tebow. Will his successor be able to do it?
By the way, runningbacks coach Eric Studesville will take over as head coach. Kind of strange because the runningbacks suck so badly that it's odd they would turn to the RB coach
And since McDaniels had two more years on his contract, they would still be paying him next year (as well as paying Shanny)
Whenever the Broncos hire their next head coach, they'll be paying three guys -- former head coach Mike Shanahan, McDaniels and whoever replaces McDaniels -- to coach the team in 2011 ... and they'll owe money to McDaniels and replacement in 2012 as well. When Bowlen fired Shanahan after the 2008 season, he still owed him $21 million on the three years remaining in Shanahan's contract, and McDaniels is owed nearly $7 million on his remaining two years.Last edited by Al B. You know, the ESPN article says:
McDaniels made a series of personnel decisions that backfired, notably trading away Peyton Hillis, who has become a power running back in Cleveland,"Flutie was better than Kelly, Elway, Esiason and Cunningham." - Ben Kenobi

Peyton Manning is a one man show this year, to a large degree. Losing Addai was killer.Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away.

Peyton Manning still has Reggie Wayne, though. You're not really doing it by yourself when you have a 4-time Pro Bowl WR to throw to.
Compare to Eli who is left trying to do something with Mario Manningham (who is getting double-teamed), Derek Hagan, Michael Clayton, and Devin Thomas. Devin Thomas was cut from both the Redskins and Panthers, two of the most WR-starved teams in the NFL, just this year.
Eli has less going for him than Peyton does, even if the Giants can run the ball. Peyton at least has a pro bowler to throw to. Eli has jack ****."Flutie was better than Kelly, Elway, Esiason and Cunningham." - Ben Kenobi

Shawn Andrews, Will Beatty, and Kevin Boothe have all made the rotation, and all three have gotten hurt at some point.
Over the past few years, the Colts have been far better at pass protection than the Giants. Yes, the Giants line has currently given up a league low 12 sacks despite the shuffling and injuries, but the Colts are right behind at only 13 sacks. The O-Lines are not that different. At least the Colts have more constancy at the O-line than the Giants.
Also, Eli doesn't pass as much as Peyton so Eli's sack rate is higher.
Here. Here's the breakdown of the Giants' O-line injuries:
O'Hara has played only four games because of ankle and foot injuries. Diehl has been out the last three with hip and hamstring problems, marking the first time in his eight-year career he has been sidelined. Backup center Adam Koets was lost in midseason with a knee injury, and backup tackle Shawn Andrews missed last week with a back injury.
While Snee and McKenzie have remained on the right side of the line, the center and the left side have been in flux for the past month.
Seubert has moved from guard and taken over at center. Kevin Boothe, who started the year on the physically unable to perform list, has been the starting left guard for three weeks. Second-year pro Will Beatty took over at left tackle last weekend against Jacksonville, replacing Andrews, who started the previous three weeks.
I'm sorry. Peyton has a better situation and he struggles and it's like "poor Peyton. He's doing it all by himself!"; Eli does just fine (2-0 since losing Nicks/Smith) with less. Go figure. The difference really is Eli has a running game to lean on. But he is far worse off when he has to pass the ball."Flutie was better than Kelly, Elway, Esiason and Cunningham." - Ben Kenobi
