3 of the top 5 QB's in terms of QB rating are Black scrambling QB's.

And Josh Freeman (QB rating 90.1) is playing very well for a 2nd year QB... statistically better than Mark Sanchez (Stafford is clearly the lame runt of that draft class).

Maybe you need to re-appraise your assessment of Black quarterbacks.


oh and with two starts so far for San Fran, Troy Smith is sitting on a 116.6 QB rating.

I've never said that Orton sucks. I was pushing him as starter through most of the Rex years. Solid QB, good arm. But he's a building block, not a foundation. He's progressed nicely, and I'm happy to see it.

Now, what is it, Week 10? About time for his annual nagging injury... the one he mans up and plays on, but ineffectively. Happened his last year in Chicago, and again last year in Denver.

And Alby, considering the way you rag on Stafford - whose only major flaw has been an inability to stay on the field - I will brook no dispute of that flaw in Kyle's game.

Jrabbit, Orton's injury has come and gone. He injured his shoulder during the London game then clearly was fine coming off the bye week what with that performance against KC.

As for Stafford... Yeah #1 overall pick and he's played like 8 games in two seasons. Real great investment, Detroit!

And seriously, Jrabbit, when Stafford is on the field, are YOU impressed? Sanchez and Freeman look like quarterbacks. Stafford is no better than Shaun Hill.

Anyone can get hurt. Well, except Peyton Manning it seems. As for the 2009 draft class, it's not apples to apples. Only one of those guys landed on a good team.

I've seen Sanchez more than the other two. Stafford looked pretty good in Week 1 this year, against a Bears D that's actually not too shabby. The man you like to call the "Sanchise" has a great O-line and great skill position players around him, yet still goes through periods where he can't complete a damn pass. I've only seen Freeman on SportCensor, so can't comment except to say, damn, the Bucs are winning some games through the air!

Based on results and surrounding talent, I have give to Freeman an A-, Sanchez a B (mostly for late-game poise) and Stafford an INC.

Did you know that on Sunday, Troy Smith and David Garrard each threw for more yards than Vick? And that Vick, Josh Freeman, and Garrard were the #1, #2, and #3 for QB ratings league-wide for Week 10 games with Troy Smith just behind?

I'm not saying that what you're saying hasn't been generally true in the past... but look! We have a white feature halfback, on the Cleveland Browns no less, running all over Pittsburgh and Baltimore and several Black QB's who are at the top of the QB rankings! Times a changing!
