So with the Colts and Patriots losing (the Pats badly)... are the Giants the best team in the NFL? That's 5 straight wins now for the G-men. The two games against the Eagles coming up in the second half of the season are definite games to watch.

Eli's on pace for 4150 yards and 34 TD's and Ahmad Bradshaw's on pace for 1530 rushing yards.

This is what Jerry Jones needs to do, for starters. Act like a G.M., since he's given himself the title.
Cut CB Michael Jenkins. The boy should never put on a Cowboys uniform again.
Bench both Barber and Jones and give Choice a chance.
To give Choice a fighting chance, bench a couple of the old as the hills OL.
At the end of the season, fire Phillips. Bring in Bill Cowher or Jim Harbaugh, if they can be had. NOT Gruden. I can even accept making Brooking a player/defensive coach to replace Phillips. Tom Landry did it.
I'm disgusted.

Jon Gruden Most overrated coach ever. Needlessly complex plays is the last thing the Cowboys need.

Word was that Cowher wanted the Giants job but Coughlin looks like he's saved his ass with this 5 game win streak and the way the Giants look like they can take on any team in the league.

What about John Fox? He seems like a possibility for Dallas. Or former Cowboys player Jack Del Rio.

Coughlin stays on the brink of losing his job, Fox or Del Rio would work. The Cowboys need someone that will run these guys into the ground over continually making stupid mistakes and lack of effort. RE: Mike Jenkins. I hate that dickweed by now. Can you imagine the peer pressure if Brooking, Ware, Ratliff and Newman had to run because of some hair flopping after he's screwed up Jenkins?

Back in '85 I hated the Cowboys before I'd even decided on a team to support. Then this team took them apart with a really exciting high octane, high scoring offence. Hence why I support the Bengals...

The hammer came down and Jerry Jones gave the coaching job to the guy expected to take it from Wade Phillips YEARS ago...

Dallas Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones fired coach Wade Phillips on Monday, sources told ESPN's Chris Mortensen and Ed Werder.

The move comes less than a year after he was given a two-year contract extension for leading the Cowboys to their first playoff win in over a decade. He will be replaced by offensive coordinator Jason Garrett, the sources said.

Damnit. Now the Cowboys have the possibility of being better in the next few years. I was hoping for Wade forever!
