Go find some lists by those considered expert in their field, and find me one that would rather have Eli Manning over Romo.
    Good luck with that one.
I'd want Eli over Romo. But that's cause I don't like Romo. As a person.

    • That's because I was waiting for Favre, Sloww. Remember? Those texts went out saying he was retiring and I had even named my team FavreDollarFootlongs beforehand in anticipation of getting Favre. And I picked up Randy Moss with my 2nd rounder which is terrible in retrospect but was good pickup at the time.

Also, you don't get fantasy points for a QB being clutch or winning playoff games

I believe that's joncha... whoever has the team called Famous Celebrities.

Oh and he's 3-5 so go figure. Not even a bad luck case. Only me, Imran, and Duke have scored less points than him.

          • Dude, I totally shat the bed when it came to RB picks. I dont have any of them anymore and I took them in the 5th, 6th, 7th, 9th rounds. Meanwhile I passed on McFadden, Foster, Ahmad Bradshaw, Ladanian, Thomas Jones...Christ on a crutch!!!

He made some pretty good picks. (Rivers, Ryan, Orton are all top 10 QBs.) He has also had pretty bad injuries, and forgotten to substitute in some weeks. He's also not quick on the waiver wire.

With a more active manager, who always remembered to substitute, and got good RB free agent pickups like Green-Ellis, Blount or Woodhead, that team could be 5-3 or so.

              • Yea, that's my problem. I throw myself into the draft and do pretty well (imho) but then pay less attention to managing the team through the season. Plus I still haven't figured out a good sense of who to start and who to sit.

I don't know why you don't "like him as a person", and don't really care. This whole Romo vs. Eli Manning discussion started because of Al's constant droning of "Tony Homo" remarks. It's childish and stupid.
It's tired. Just over and over. I don't know if he's trying to bother me, or is homophobic or trying to cover up his natural inclinations in regard to himself. I'm just tired of the repetitiveness.

That's a good self-assessment. You've been great on general strategy and top players, but you're not as good with the marginal players.

The real hurt is Dallas Clark, though. At this point, I'm inclined to name Jonny as my most frightening competition.

Eli is no choke artist. Romo is. Eli is always the same solid Eli no matter what the pressure is, whether it's the playoffs, or whatever else.

Would you rather have the guy who chokes when it's crunch-time or the guy who is always clutch?

Not only that but check this out. It's not counting any games this season yet but:

                      http://www.pro-football-reference.com/play-index/comeback.cgi?player=RomoTo00

Let's see... Eli Manning has had 13 4th quarter comebacks and Romo has had 9. Eli has had 16 game-winning drives and Romo has had 10.

The numbers tell the story that you can know just by following the Giants and Cowboys. Eli is way more clutch than Romo.
Now, if you only count the years that Romo has played, Eli has 11/13 and Romo has 9/10.

                      They aren't that much better.

                      ACK!

                      • Right, now that's sorted. Can we talk about something else?

For example, will Ochocinco's ego cope until the end of the year with the fact that TO seems to be usurping his position as #1 WR at Cincy?

I heard a rumour that Ocho has 'unfriended' Palmer on Facebook...
Is it me, or is MOBIUS a horrible person?

                          • When Owens said that he wanted to see the old Chad back, Ochocinco said: “What am I supposed to do? What am I supposed to do? I’m out there. I’m on the field. What do you want me to do? I’m on the field, I’m available, I wear number 85, I’m out there, I’M OUT THERE. I’m going to leave it at that. There’s nothing I can do but make myself available. Period.”
Ocho is on pace for 90 catches and 1047 yards so, believe it or not, even with Palmer being a shadow of his former self, that offense looks like it will produce two 1000 yard receivers. I haven't seen the Bengals much. I wonder if Ocho is getting the defensive attention which is allowing Owens to run free.
