Um, of course Vick is going to say that. It's like you've never heard a football player talk before.

Imran, you are high if you don't think Vick was a terrible passer on the Falcons."Flutie was better than Kelly, Elway, Esiason and Cunningham." - Ben Kenobi

He was basically a similar passer, but younger, and with much worse talent around him. You give him the Eagles talent when he was 21, 22, and he'd have done much better with his passing numbers.“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

He definitely improved in his last couple years there, but Vick was never a "good" passer by NFL standards.Apolyton's Grim Reaper 2008, 2010 & 2011

Hey Imran, you'll like this one... did you know there are 4 former Falcon draft-picks starting at QB right now? Brett Favre, Mike Vick, Matt Schaub, and Matt Ryan."Flutie was better than Kelly, Elway, Esiason and Cunningham." - Ben Kenobi

That's actually pretty impressive. Current NFL starting QBs drafted by Bears = 1 (Orton)Apolyton's Grim Reaper 2008, 2010 & 2011

I'm trying to think if any teams had 3 guys they drafted but I can't think of any... Let's see the Packers had two (Rodgers and Hasselbeck), the Rams had two (Bradford and Fitzpatrick), the Buccaneers had two (Freeman and Gradkowski), and the Patriots had two (Brady and Cassel). That's it unless I'm missing someone. Notice that two of them are not permanent starters (Fitzpatrick and Gradkowski), Hasselbeck is close to being phased out, and Cassel doesn't play well enough to warrant being a starter for long. So it's a rare thing to even have two former draft-picks starting for long. But Favre, Vick, Schaub, and Ryan will all likely start the rest of the season barring injury.
The undrafted guys who are starting were Romo, Derek Anderson, and Shaun Hill."Flutie was better than Kelly, Elway, Esiason and Cunningham." - Ben Kenobi

Yeah missed that. Well technically, it should be Eli Manning and Brees with the Giant's draft-pick being Rivers."Flutie was better than Kelly, Elway, Esiason and Cunningham." - Ben Kenobi

Hey Chicago fans, what you think about Kyle Orton? Consider, instead of getting Cutler, you could have kept Orton and the 18th overall pick in the 2009 draft (a pick which meant that you would've had your choice between Jeremy Maclin, Hakeem Nicks, Percy Harvin, and Kenny Britt).
You also gave up the 84th overall pick which Denver traded to Pittsburgh which turned into Mike Wallace.
Yeah... it's pretty clear now that trade was a mistake, even if Cutler is playing well. Orton with one of those first round guys and Mike Wallace would trump anything Cutler can do right now."Flutie was better than Kelly, Elway, Esiason and Cunningham." - Ben Kenobi

I don't guess it matters much. Still, I'm some surprised.
ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- Chan Gailey needed to see Ryan Fitzpatrick put some life into the Buffalo Bills' anemic offense only once before deciding Trent Edwards was expendable.
"After the way that Fitz played yesterday, I feel very confident about the direction we're going," Gailey said Monday, one day after the Bills (0-3) were beaten 38-30 by the New England Patriots. "Trent did the best he could and he's a great young man, and I wish him the best."
The Bills waived Edwards in a surprising move Monday, a few weeks after Gailey said he saw "light at the end of the tunnel" with the quarterback as his starter.
With Fitzpatrick the starter, Brian Brohm moves into the backup role in Buffalo.Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away.

I'm not convinced Orton would ever be that good with high quality WRs. It's not out of the question Cutler could be a pro bowl QB on the Bears, if they can figure out how to protect him, and that's with basically random guys off the street at WR. I certainly wish he hadn't cost us quite as much - and I wonder if he needed to cost quite that - but I don't think the cost in draft picks was above and beyond what a top flight QB is worth. I certainly don't think Orton was ever a consideration for being such a QB, and I don't think he will prove to be at DEN either.<Reverend> IRC is just multiplayer notepad.

Funny enough, the Stanford QB loses his job to the Harvard one.
Always found it funny last year when they had Dick Jauron the Yale alumnus trying to get an offense by switching between his Stanford and Harvard educated QB's. Guess brains aint enough to have a passing offense in the NFL, despite QB being such a cerebral position."Flutie was better than Kelly, Elway, Esiason and Cunningham." - Ben Kenobi
