HEY! THE MAC HAS GOOD TEAMS!

Miami of Ohio, Ball State, Bowling Green, and Kent State all had their moments over the last few years. Central Michigan and Ohio U. are pretty good. And Temple is turning things around big time.

Michigan would probably win the MAC. Ergo, the MAC sucks.

Yeah, I watched the game. As terrible as Toledo looked, I'd expect any half-decent major conference team to beat the **** out of them.

Just gonna get my prediction on record here:

UConn runs, runs, and runs some more, eats up the clock, and takes the crowd out of the game. Michigan's offense will score some points, but inconsistency and uncertainty at the QB position (**** you, RichRod) stops a late comeback from coming to fruition. I also expect Michigan to miss at least two FG attempts.

          Connecticut 27
          Michigan 21

            Predictions:

            Mizzou 34 - Illini 10

Illinois goes 4 - 8 and Ron Zook keeps his job

This has been an interesting, unexpected first quarter.

                Nice screen.

The offense hasn't had any trouble yet.

                  Touchdown, Shoelace Robinson!

He's got 105 yards rushing 13 minutes into the game.
He's also 4-4 for 44yds through the air.

EDIT: the hmmm smilie is useless on the dark background.

Michigan's defense has been helped by some bad throws and dropped balls by the UConn offense, but they do look significantly faster and more aggressive than last year. Maybe their impressive performance against OSU in the season finale last year wasn't a total fluke.

Poor decision the the third-down throw there, short of the first by six yards...

And there's the first missed FG.

Wow, Michigan's D stops another third-down attempt. UConn is 0-4 on third down so far; third-down defense was probably the weakest part of Michigan's atrocious defense last year.

And then the Huskies help out further by shanking the punt. Michigan starts on the UConn 38... and then nearly fumbles the ball away.

UConn defense starting to adjust to Robinson, but Michigan is still moving the ball. First and goal from 7...

Shaw to the 4 on the draw...

                          Touchdown, Michael Shaw!

                          21-0, Michigan.

Ducks up 28-0 over NM in 2nd quarter.

                            Edit: Make that 35-0!

UConn converts their first third-down attempt of the game on 3rd-and-1, have the ball on the Michigan 29.

UConn going for it on 4th and 3 at the 22... and got it on the ground. That's the Michigan defense I remember from last year.
