The thing is though that, as you can see that the #4-#6 QB's (Matt Ryan, Philip Rivers [Philip Rivers may be higher because he still has to play this week], Tom Brady) are on teams in the back-half of the standings. Also, many of the productive QB's are out-performing expectations by a long-shot and either went undrafted or were drafted in later rounds, including Vick, Fitzpatrick, Orton, and Eli Manning.
So I don't know if drafting the few elite QB's gives you THAT much of an advantage. It worked well for Jaguar and Ozzy but they also had some RB's and WR's who have been monstrous and they would likely still be on the top of the standings even with a more average QB whereas the Matt Ryan and Tom Brady owners had QB's that ended up top-6 but are at the bottom of the standings (not to mention guys who have under-performed from their top-QB billing such as Matt Schaub). As can be expected, the owners who happened to wait to pick their starting QB (or got theirs through the waiver wire like you, Flash) have done better, since, obviously, they used their higher picks on skill-position players and got 'steals' at QB.
But, I will say, that getting less than 10 points from a QB almost every week (Brett Favre
