  • Assume 25 yards as the measure, 1 point per completion. Rounded to the whole here for ease of calculating quickly.
56 points vs. 39 points. The answer is yes. That's without consideration of Interceptions or Touchdowns.

    • SO THE GUY WHO THROWS FOR MORE YARDAGE GETS LESS FANTASY POINTS? WOW! A REAL GREAT IDEA!

        • Yardage is part of it, Al. If a QB throws a screen to his RB on their one, and the RB goes 99 yards for a TD, has the QB really done anything? It's yards.

          • What the hell, Sloww? I am lost as to how you can say it's okay if a fantasy format has a guy with less yardage than another QB getting more fantasy points.

            • I can see that you are, because you're only focused on yards. What if the high yardage QB throws zero TD's and the lower yardage QB throws for 5? The higher yards QB should prevail?

                • Two QB's... all else being equal... the only difference is one threw for 300 yards and the other for 490 yards. Surely the 490 yard guy should get more fantasy points, right? Not if he had only 20 completions and the first one had 40. Then, the QB with less yards, et ceteris paribus, will get more fantasy points.

                  • You are a total moron, Al. Absolutely stupid. At least if you were ignorant, you could learn. Having someone explain it to you and you remain clueless is not ignorance. It's stupidity at that point.

                        Makes a lot of sense.
Talk about extreme examples... 500-yd games and 40-completion games are both exceedingly rare. And you say nothing about TDs and turnovers, which were the entire crux of your previous (and equally flawed) rant.

In the vast majority of realistic examples, normal variation in QB performance produces a totally reasonable differential in scoring. The bottom line: For equal yardage/TDs/TOs/etc., the QB with more completions will score more points. The QB who has significantly fewer attempts, whether via game plan, injury, weather contitions, etc. is going to suffer. AS IT SHOULD BE.

Since you can't construct an actual logical argument and instead just spout a series of custom-fit examples, I can only assume you're being deliberately obtuse.

                        • Jrabbit, you're doubly rewarding pass-first QB's. They have value just because they have more opportunity for yardage and TD's. To also get points for sheer completions is WIDENING the gap between pass-first and run-first QB's, beyond what it already is.
