Umm, amount of points = not relevant. Otherwise the top picks would be Manning, Rodgers, Brees, Brady, in that order. It's differential and predictability that's important; RBs have both (high differential and reasonable predictability, overall), while QBs have predictability but not differential (there's not a big enough drop from #1 to #6) and TEs have neither (#1 to #6 isn't that big of a drop, and their predictability is fairly suspect at this point in the draft). I've won leagues taking my first and only TE in the next to last round... There was a short period where there was a pretty big gap between the top few TEs and the rest, but that period ended two years ago. Now there's a pretty steady slope for TEs, and their predictability is much less than it was when TG was guaranteed to be in the top 2 in points and to be in the midround WR level back in the early part of the decade.
