    More positively laughable officiating in the first period; one phantom penalty against Holmstrom, one inexplicable post-whistle scrum penalty against Abdelkader, and then a completely farcical covering-up-the-puck-in-the-crease call against the Sharks, leading to a miraculous Nabokov save on the resulting penalty shot.

    Cleary puts the Wings up 2-0 late in the first.

        I think Abdelkader should change his name to Abeldacker, as that's how I keep reading it.

              They look tired, they just can't keep up with the Sharks towards the end of the game.


              On the plus side, the officiating has been slightly less atrocious since the first period.

                              Personally, I think Babcock really blew the situation with the goalies. Osgood seemed to be discarded relatively early in the season and now the Wings don't really have any options even though Howard is showing he is not quite ready for the pressure.
