    cool

I re-read the thread and the vote on Holds is 4-3 in favor of keeping them, but my vote is the difference. And I aint really that particular IF we can make up for the loss of a relevant pitching category. If we're replacing Holds, the replacement needs to be better. I dont see many options, hell, I'm looking at epw's first list and it aint looking bad. Anyway, the vote is fairly close

so lets have a vote on this

    R, 1B, 2B,3B,HR, SB, RBI, OBP, SLG
QS, SV, HLD, K, K/BB, H/9, BB/9, ERA (I split up WHIP to keep the cats close)

    or

R, H, HR, RBI, SB, TB, OBP, SLG
QS, SV, HLD, K, K/BB, WHIP ERA

I'd rather have wins and whip in option 1, winning is what its all about.

    VOTE

I like both, if we're tied on the vote I'll decide it like the VP residing over the Senate

    SO VOTE AGAIN

      Option 1

I'll get saves and holds expelled next year.

          I vote 2.

What about IP or H/9 in place of Holds?

I just joined. I like Option 2 and I'm very, very glad that wins isn't included. I would eventually like to see RBI eliminated as well.

Fie on those choices. I prefer the batting in #1, the pitching in #2.

Forced to pick, I'd hold my nose and take #1.

Or perhaps IRA. It applies to relievers, so middle relief could benefit from it, but works for closers too.

I am pretty much indifferent on the stats as long as I know them well before the draft. If I had to make a choice I would choose batting option1 and pitching option 2.

already been considered and rejected. Good idea though.

Wins > IP and we already have WHIP in option 2 so H/9 & BB/9 are redundant

The pitching is essentially the same, the only difference being whip = h/9 and bb/9. We can put whip into option 1 but then our stats would be staggered 9-7 in favor of hitting. So I'd like to have 8 pitching cats for some balance. If we go with WHIP (and I'd want that myself) then we need 1 more pitching cat.

I'll take that as a vote for option 1, we'll look into putting whip back in and taking h/9 and bb/9 out.

                            R, 1B, 2B,3B,HR, SB, RBI, OBP, SLG
QS, SV, HLD, K, K/BB, WHIP, ERA

                            or

R, H, HR, RBI, SB, TB, OBP, SLG
QS, SV, HLD, K, K/BB, WHIP ERA

option 1 needs another pitching cat but the options are kinda lame. I''l go look for something to throw in

Btw, the vote is 3-3. I believe EmpFab wanted option 2, and I'll probably vote for 2 also if we cant find an 8th pitch cat for option 1.

                            Where's yer friend Ozzy?

I vote for shutouts, balks, pickoffs, no hitters and perfect games. Oh, and intentional walks.

Edit: I suppose we can add triples allowed if we need another category in addition to the above.
