    • I guess they're going for more middling teams? I mean to say a team like the Chargers is going to be good over the next 10 years isn't an earth shattering prediction.

      • This brings up an interesting discussion. Top 5 teams of the last decade?

        I'd say:
        Patriots
        Colts
        Steelers
        Eagles
        Giants

        Honorable mention: Ravens and Chargers

There's really no reason why all of those teams wouldn't be among the top of the coming decade.

        • If by "dominant" they mean "getting lots of early 1st round picks," I'll stick with the Lions until they prove me wrong.

By the 2013 draft, the Lions will draft a 1st round QB. Mark my words.

Detroit has more votes than the Falcons!

Falcons shouldn't even be in consideration. Why? Cause of Matt Ryan? Tony G. is old. Michael Turner isn't going to last much longer. The Falcons are a team that really needs to draft well to be successful because they don't really have any young stars or prospects.

                  B) Detroit, again I say, is poised for Light's Out.

                  • I suppose having the electricity shut off counts as lights out.

I'll be surprised if Detroit does better than doubling their wins from last year.

                    • When I look at Detroit, I see the 2nd coming of Aikman, Irvin and Smith. I'm so going to enjoy this down the road. It was ME, a Texan, that kept saying it.
I'd like to see the Lions grow dominant. They could very conceivably save Detroit, much like the Saints and their effect on New Orleans.

What? For 4th most dominating team of the 2000's? Are you a drug user or a drunk?

                        2000: 11-5*
                        2001: 11-5* (took division)
                        2002: 12-4* (took division)
                        2003: 12-4* (took division)
                        2004: 13-3* (took division)
                        2005: 6-10
                        2006: 10-6* (took division)
                        2007: 8-8
                        2008: 9-6-1*
                        2009: 11-5* (took division)
                        *indicates playoffs

8 Playoff seasons in 10 years. And took the division in 6 of the 10. That's nothing to sniff at.

                        • What it means is that they had more injuries and a lower draft pick for being ultimately unsuccessful.

                          • Number of playoff seasons from 2000-2009:

                            Colts: 9
                            Eagles: 8
                            Patriots: 7
                            Giants: 6
                            Steelers: 6
                            Ravens: 6
                            Packers: 6
                            Chargers: 5
                            Seahawks: 5
                            Jets: 5
                            Titans: 5
                            Buccaneers: 5

I'm a little surprised the Jets made the playoffs 5 out of 10 years. Did I miss something?

But it's pretty obvious the Eagles belong on any top 5 teams of the 2000's list. 8/10 playoffs is extremely good. Even if they always lost. The Colts only won the SB once in 9 playoff tries and that doesn't diminish them; the Eagles just never won a SB.

                              • Excuse me, but did I say that the Cowboys should be ranked? Why, no. I didn't say that, did I? Better days are ahead, but lately they've disappointed.
I'd take Romo over Eli Manning or Donovan McNabb though. UNDRAFTED, though he was.
